Nikola Kalinic refuses World Cup silver medal after Croatia striker was sent home early following alleged refusal to come on as substitute against Nigeria

It is believed the Croatian striker turned down the medal after he was sent home from Russia 2018 just one game into the tournament.

Kalinic reportedly refused to come on as a substitute in Croatia's opening 2-0 win over Nigeria due to a back problem, and was subsequently dismissed by coach Zlatko Dalic.
